Incight’s Employment Program differentiates itself from other programs designed to help people with disabilities find gainful employment in that it focuses on empowerment and expectation. Incight works with employer partners and Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation Services to host events that introduce job seekers to employers who are interested in diversifying their workforce.
Join us at our annual career fair! We offer workshops to job seekers on networking and empowerment, along with resume review (Portland only) and an exhibition hall for you to connect with job seekers. Opportunities for booth purchase and sponsorship are available.

Meet Business is an event that brings together representatives from a specific industry, such as health care, natural resources, government, manufacturing, technology, etc., to educate job seekers with disabilities about that particular industry and the types of jobs within the industry. These events last about three hours and include presentations from the employers during the first 45 to 60 minutes, followed by two hours of networking. You can participate as a panelist during a Meet Business for your industry or host an event in your meeting or conference space. Events have ranged in size from 55 job seekers at an event held in Salem featuring Social Service jobs to 130 job seekers at an event featuring job opportunities at the City of Portland. As a Meet Business host, you are asked to: 1. provide the venue for the event – theater style seating is preferred for the presentation with a secondary room where networking can take place is best; 2. invite other employers who are peers in your industry; 3. give a presentation about a variety of jobs that are available in your industry and information on how to apply – including when to follow up and how long the process takes; and 4. have your staff and colleagues ready for networking with job seekers. Incight will take care of: 1. recruiting job seekers from our network and contacts at local organizations that support people with disabilities including Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation Services and high school transitions programs; 2. registering all participants and giving folks information as they arrive; 3. providing refreshments for all participants, and 4. collecting feedback from both job seekers and employers about the event.
Live Resume is a recruiting event featuring job-ready candidates with disabilities who are pre-screened by our program staff. Candidates have three minutes to verbally present themselves, their experience, and their credentials to a panel of potential employers. After all of the presentations, there is a networking session lasting about 45 minutes so candidates and employers can speak directly to anyone who piqued their interest. Breakfast is provided for all attendees and the environment is professional, but intentionally relaxed and comfortable for job seekers and employers both to initiate conversations and network. We aim to have approximately 20 job seekers and 15 employers at each two-hour-long Live Resume event.
You can participate by hosting an event in your conference space and providing coffee and breakfast, or by sending your hiring manager or human resources personnel to screen potential employees.
Could your organization use a talented and hard working extra hand?Incight is happy to help you find an excellent intern or help you find a space for a job seeker you met at one of our events. We stipend interns at $10 for up to 60 hours.
